Fascia-Based Training
Fascia is the connective tissue that wraps your muscles, bones, and joints. When it's trained properly, it stores and releases energy like a rubber band. That's where real speed lives — not in muscle, but in elastic recoil.
James uses ground connection and elastic recoil principles to build power from the ground up. Springy feet, quiet landings, whip speed, rainbow reach — these aren't metaphors. They're training cues that change how your body generates force.
The Three Phases
Phase 1: Grounding — Connecting to the earth through your feet. Barefoot work, balance drills, proprioceptive training. This is the foundation everything else builds on.
Phase 2: Tensile Loading — Resistance bands, med balls, water bags. Teaching your fascia to load and store energy through controlled, dynamic movement.
Phase 3: Elastic Power — Releasing that stored energy into the golf swing. This is where the speed gains show up — 6mph+ at cruising pace for D1 athletes.
10 Minutes = 45 Minutes
10-15 minutes of resistance band work gives you the equivalent of 45-60 minutes on the range. Your body learns the correct movement patterns without the fatigue and repetitive strain of hitting hundreds of balls.
This approach also prevents lower back pain and injury — the number one complaint of amateur and professional golfers alike. When your fascia is trained, your spine is protected.
D1 Proof
